GoHighLevel and HubSpot both promise to replace a stack of marketing tools, but they were built for different people. GoHighLevel grew up in marketing agencies: one account, many client sub-accounts, funnels, texting, calendars and the option to resell it all under your own brand. HubSpot grew up inside companies: a CRM the whole team shares, with marketing, sales and service hubs added as you grow.
If you are an agency, that difference matters more than any feature list. If you are a single business, the pricing model probably decides it. Prices below were read on both vendors’ sites on October 17, 2026.
Full disclosure: we make DoubleScale, a WordPress CRM. You will see it in a few short side notes and in its own section. GoHighLevel and HubSpot prices come from their own pricing pages.
Pick GoHighLevel if you are an agency managing several clients, or a local business that wants funnels, booking, texting and reviews in one flat-priced tool.
Pick HubSpot if you are building an in-house sales and marketing team and want the most polished CRM, reporting and integrations, paid per seat.

How the pricing really works
GoHighLevel has three published plans: Starter at $97 a month ($970 a year) with three sub-accounts, Unlimited at $297 ($2,970 a year) with unlimited sub-accounts and rebilling of phone and email at cost, and Agency Pro at $497 ($4,970 a year), which adds SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation and rebilling with your own markup. Every plan includes unlimited users and contacts, month to month, after a 14-day trial.
The flat price is not the whole bill. Email, SMS and calling are usage-based, and popular add-ons are priced per sub-account: the AI Employee costs $50 or $97 a month, WhatsApp $10 a month, and WordPress hosting starts at $10 a month per site. A white-label mobile app is $497 a month.
HubSpot charges per seat, billed annually: free for up to two users, Starter at about $20 a seat a month at regular price (it was on offer at $7 when we checked), Professional at $90 and Enterprise at $175, plus limits on marketing contacts.
One business, three people, one year
| Setup | Licence per year | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| GoHighLevel Starter | $970 | Unlimited users; email, SMS and calls billed by usage |
| HubSpot Starter, 3 seats (regular) | $720 | Simple automation only |
| HubSpot Professional, 3 seats | $3,240 | Full workflows and reporting |
| DoubleScale Basic, 1 site | $99 | Plus your email provider (a few dollars a month) |
Annual billing. GoHighLevel usage and add-ons, and HubSpot marketing-contact tiers, come on top.
For agencies, GoHighLevel Unlimited ($2,970 a year) covers every client account; HubSpot has no equivalent.
Our take: GoHighLevel has the edge for agencies and multi-tool replacement; HubSpot Starter for a very small team that only needs a CRM.
Funnels, websites and booking
GoHighLevel bundles the front of the funnel: funnel and website builders, forms and surveys, calendars, memberships and courses, plus reputation management and a phone system. For an agency running lead generation for local businesses, that is the whole job in one login.
HubSpot has landing pages, forms and meeting links, and a CMS sold separately, but it expects your website to live elsewhere for most small businesses. Its strength is what happens after the lead arrives.
Our take: GoHighLevel has the edge.

CRM, reporting and integrations
HubSpot is the more mature CRM: deal pipelines, tasks, call logging, email tracking, sequences on paid sales plans, and reporting that a sales manager can live in. Its app marketplace is one of the largest in the category, and its free CRM is a genuine on-ramp.
GoHighLevel has pipelines, conversations across channels and workflow automation that agencies use heavily, but its interface and reporting are built for doing marketing for clients rather than managing a sales team.
Our take: HubSpot has the edge.

Learning curve and support
HubSpot is easier to start with and has an enormous library of tutorials and its own academy. GoHighLevel is powerful but dense; most new users lean on its community, snapshots and onboarding resources. Both offer support on paid plans; GoHighLevel lists 24/7 support on every plan.
Our take: HubSpot has the edge for ease of use.
Runs your entire business
A third option: DoubleScale
If you are one business, not an agency, and your site runs on WordPress, DoubleScale gives you the CRM, booking, email and messaging pieces without a second platform or per-seat pricing.
Its workflows support nested conditions and goals, Pro adds pipelines, lead scoring, SMS and WhatsApp, and the free plugin includes proposals, invoices, bookings, a client portal and a helpdesk.
Modular by design. Turn on only the modules you need from one Control Modules panel; everything else stays out of your way.

Questions people ask
Is GoHighLevel cheaper than HubSpot?
For agencies and multi-user teams, usually yes: GoHighLevel Starter is $97 a month with unlimited users, while HubSpot charges per seat. Remember GoHighLevel’s usage fees for email, SMS and calls.
Does GoHighLevel have a free plan?
No. It offers a 14-day free trial on every plan, then bills monthly with no long-term contract.
Can HubSpot do what GoHighLevel does for agencies?
Not in the same way. HubSpot has no client sub-accounts or SaaS reselling; agencies typically manage separate HubSpot portals per client.
Which is better for a local business?
If you want funnels, booking, texting and review requests in one tool, GoHighLevel. If you mainly need a CRM for a small sales team, HubSpot.
Is there a WordPress alternative to both?
Yes. DoubleScale runs inside WordPress with email, automation, pipelines, booking and helpdesk, priced per site with unlimited users and contacts.
