Ask a salesperson which CRM they enjoy using and Pipedrive comes up a lot. Ask a marketing manager and HubSpot does. That is the heart of this comparison: Pipedrive is a sales tool first, built around a visual pipeline and the next action on every deal. HubSpot is a platform first, with sales, marketing and service hubs sharing one CRM.
Both charge per seat, so the bill grows with your team either way. Prices below were checked on both vendors’ pages on October 17, 2026.
Full disclosure: we make DoubleScale, a WordPress CRM. It appears in a few side notes and its own section; the Pipedrive and HubSpot details come from their own sites.
Pick Pipedrive if your team mostly sells: you want a clear pipeline, email sync, activity reminders and simple automation at a fair per-seat price.
Pick HubSpot if sales and marketing need to share one system, you want a free tier to start, and you are happy paying more per seat as you add marketing.

What a 5-person sales team pays
Pipedrive (billed annually) is $14 per seat a month for Lite, $39 for Growth, $59 for Premium and $79 for Ultimate; month to month it is $24, $49, $79 and $99. Growth adds full email sync with tracking, automations and nurturing sequences, and a meeting scheduler. Premium adds LeadBooster lead capture and routing, custom scoring, AI email tools and contracts with e-signatures. Add-ons include Campaigns for email marketing (from $13.33 a month) and LeadBooster (from $32.50).
HubSpot charges per seat, billed annually: free for two users, Starter about $20 at regular price, Professional $90 and Enterprise $175.
| Plan for 5 users | Per year |
|---|---|
| Pipedrive Growth | $2,340 |
| Pipedrive Premium | $3,540 |
| HubSpot Starter (regular) | $1,200 |
| HubSpot Professional | $5,400 |
| DoubleScale Basic (1 site, any number of users) | $99 |
Licence only, annual billing. Pipedrive add-ons and HubSpot marketing-contact tiers are extra.
HubSpot Starter is cheapest but limited; for real sales automation, Pipedrive Growth is the better-value seat.
Our take: Pipedrive has the edge for sales automation per dollar.
Managing the pipeline day to day
Pipedrive’s visual pipeline is the reason people buy it: drag deals between stages, see what needs doing today, and get nudged when a deal goes quiet. Its built-in meeting assistant, Nova, briefs you before calls and drafts CRM updates afterwards. HubSpot’s pipelines are just as capable on paper, but its interface carries the weight of a much larger platform.
Our take: Pipedrive has the edge.

Marketing and the rest of the customer journey
Here HubSpot pulls ahead. Email marketing, forms, landing pages and lead nurturing sit in the same CRM your salespeople use, and marketing and sales share one view of each contact. Pipedrive covers bulk email and sequences on Growth and sells Campaigns as an add-on, which is fine for occasional newsletters but not a full marketing platform.
Our take: HubSpot has the edge.
