Emailit

Emailit is an email delivery service. Connect it to DoubleScale to send your campaigns, automations and WordPress emails through the Emailit API.

All you need is an Emailit API key and a sending domain verified in Emailit. Setup takes about 5 minutes once your domain is verified.

Part 1: Get your Emailit API key

  1. Sign up or log in to your Emailit account.
  2. Add the domain you want to send from, for example yourdomain.com. Emailit shows a few DNS records: add them at the company where you manage your domain, then wait until Emailit marks the domain as verified.
  3. Create an API key and copy it. See the Emailit API guide for details.

Part 2: Connect Emailit in DoubleScale

1. In DoubleScale, go to SMTP > Connections and click Add connection.

2. Enter a connection name, for example “Emailit”, and click Next.

3. Choose Emailit from the list of mail providers and click Next.

4. Under Adding new account, enter an Account name (only you see it, for example “My Emailit account”), paste your API key and click Add. DoubleScale checks the key with Emailit before it saves it. A sending-only key is fine, even if it can’t list your domains.

5. Your account now appears under All Accounts. Make sure it is selected and click Next.

6. Enter the From email on your verified domain (for example hello@yourdomain.com) and the From name people will see, such as your company name. Turn on Force from email and Force from name if you want every email sent through this connection to use them, even when another plugin sets a different sender. Then click Save connection.

7. Go to SMTP > Email Test and send a test email to make sure everything works.

Troubleshooting

  • The API key is rejected when you click Add. Copy the key again from Emailit and make sure it hasn’t been deleted.
  • “Domain not verified” when you send. The domain of your From email isn’t verified in Emailit yet. Finish verifying it, or change the From email to an address on a verified domain.
  • Emails only reach people on your Emailit team. Emailit hasn’t approved your workspace yet, and until it does, it only delivers to members of your workspace. Complete the verification Emailit asks for in your account, then send again.

Tip: DoubleScale sends each email through the connection whose From email matches, so you can use Emailit next to other mail providers.
